Commons for workshops

The Village society is dedicated to empowering communities and enriching lives through the invaluable means of heritage and nature. Over the years, our efforts have been focused on transforming neglected and overgrown land in various rural areas into vibrant, functional common spaces where community workshops can be held. These transformational projects have not only revitalised the land but also provided a platform for local engagement and learning.

In remote Cambodia, for instance, we have taken significant strides by constructing several essential structures including welcoming huts, sheltered resting areas, and even a flourishing small garden. These efforts have been specifically tailored to benefit the local community, offering them places of respite, gathering, and cultivation.

Our most recent project continues this tradition of community enhancement by turning overgrown and unused rural land into accessible common areas that are ideal for a wide range of workshops. In the same remote areas of Cambodia, our team has thoughtfully designed and built additional huts, resting spaces, and a well-planned small garden. These spaces are intended to encourage community growth and connection, allowing local residents to come together, share knowledge, and cultivate a supportive environment.
